Delivery & Returns

Delivery Update – 19th May: 

Standard Deliveries – We use Royal Mail for the majority of our standard deliveries.  Whilst we’d estimate around 90% of our orders are still being delivered within the 2-3 day delivery window we have seen delays of up to 10 working days for some deliveries, depending on location.  Please bare this in mind when ordering and waiting for your delivery.

Next Working Day & Express 48 Delivery – For these services we use DHL.  We have seen the occasional delay, but most orders are reaching their destination within the appropriate delivery time frame.

Standard UK Delivery – PLEASE SEE ABOVE NOTE

This service is available to any address with a standard UK postcode.  Orders are normally despatched within two working days of receipt if there is any delay we will notify you by e-mail.
Please allow up to 10 working days in the current climate from date of despatch for your order to arrive due to delays in the Royal Mail postal service.

Standard delivery for all UK orders is £3.95

Express Royal Mail 24 (Not currently Available)

Orders will be shipped the same day if placed before 3pm and shipped using the Royal Mail 24hr service.  For orders placed after 3pm, they will be shipped the next working day using the same Royal Mail 24hr service  Delivery is expected within 1 business day (Mon-Fri), but this can increase slightly during busy postage periods such as the lead up to and just after national sale periods e.g Black Friday, Cyber Monday & Christmas.

Express 48hr (UK Mainland Only)

Using a courier service, with the same postcode restrictions as the Next Working Day option below (please see below for details), but on a 48hr delivery service.

All orders placed before 3pm, will be delivered within 2 working days.  This excludes weekends & Bank Holidays.

e.g Order placed before 3pm Monday will be delivered on or before Wednesday.  If placed after 3pm, the order will be delivered on or before Thursday.  Orders placed before 3pm Friday will be delivered on or before Tuesday, after 3pm and they will be delivered on or before Wednesday.

Next Working Day Courier Delivery PLEASE SEE ABOVE NOTE

For same working day courier despatch, orders must be placed before 1pm. Orders placed after this time will be despatched the next working day.  If you have an urgent order, and it has passed the 1pm cut off, please call our Order line number 01953 797227 and we will do our utmost  to assist.

Next Working Day Delivery – UK mainland only £11.50

Working days are MON-FRI only excluding Bank Holidays.

UK Mainland covers; England, Wales & parts of Scotland excluding Highlands & Islands (see below).

Next Working Day delivery is not available to the UK highlands & Islands.  Postcode details below:

Export Orders

We usually ship orders by airmail as this is usually the cheapest and quickest method. Larger orders may be split over two or more parcels to keep each one below the weight limit. We will notify you if we are sending you more than one parcel.

Once we receive your order we will email you a quote for the shipping cost.  Only when we receive your confirmation that this additional cost is acceptable will we process the payment for shipping and complete your order.  If do not wish to proceed with your order, any payments made will be refunded in full and the order cancelled.

Our minimum charge for export shipping is £5.50.

VAT paid by customers outside of the European Union will be credited against the shipping cost.  If there are any remaining funds once the shipping cost have been made, this will be refunded to the paying account.

Please ensure you are aware of any potential customs costs before placing your order as any customs clearance costs in the recipient country will be the sole responsibility of the buyer.  Refunds will not be offered for any goods held or returned due to failed customs clearance based on failure to pay customs fees.  We shall not be responsible for any local customs charges, import taxes or duties or any similar charge(s) incurred through our carriage and/or delivery of any order and you must satisfy yourself as to whether any of these charges will become due, and if so in what amounts, before completing an order with us. If any such charges become due as a result of carriage and/or delivery of a Consignment on your behalf and are charged to us by any competent authority you agree to reimburse us fully in respect of the same within 7 days of our payment request notification.

Returns & Cancellations Policy

If you are not completely satisfied with your order, please let us know as soon as possible so we can rectify any problems or arrange for you to return the items for a refund. Contact us on 01953 797 227, Monday to Friday 9.30am to 5pm GMT or by email to info@essentialscompany.co.uk.

We aim to respond to all complaints within 2 working days.

1             Your right to cancel

1.1        If you reside in the European Economic Area, you have a legal right to cancel your order within 14 days after you receive (or someone you nominate receives) the Products if you change your mind, as long as your items have not been ‘made to order’.

1.2        To cancel your order, you just need to let us know that you have decided to cancel, within the timescale set out in section 1.1. The easiest way to inform us of your decision to cancel your order is by:

(a)           e-mailing us at info@essentialscompany.co.uk;

(b)           writing to us at The Essentials Company, Unit D Orchard Business Units, Maurice Gaymer Road, Attleborough, Norfolk, NR17 2QZ

(c)           calling us at 01953 797227.

If you are e-mailing or writing to us, please include details of your order to help us identify it.

1.4       If you cancel your order you must return them to us without undue delay and in any event within 14 days after the day on which you let us know that you wish to cancel the order or return the products. Please see above for instructions on how to return Products to us. Unless the Products are faulty or not as described, you will be responsible for the cost of returning the Products to us (although if you are a customer in the UK (excluding certain remote areas)) you may be able to return your Products to us without incurring any postage costs, please contact us for further details.

1.5     If you cancel your Contract under clause 1.1 we will:

(a)           refund you the price you paid for the Products. However, please note that we are permitted by applicable law to reduce your refund to reflect any reduction in the value of the Products, if this has been caused by your handling them in a way which would not be permitted in a shop. Any returned Products must be returned in their original packaging (if applicable) and with all tags and labels attached and in tact; and
(b)           refund any charges you have paid for delivery of the Products to you
(c)           make any refunds due to you:
(i)             14 days after you inform us of your decision to cancel the Contract, if you have not received any of the Products; or
(ii)            14 days after the day on which we receive the Products back from you or, if earlier, the day on which you provide us with evidence that you have sent the Products back to us, if you have received any of the Products.

1.7      Any refund will be paid by the method you used for payment.

2            Faulty or mis-described Products

2.1        We are under a legal duty to supply Products that are in conformity with the Contract and these Terms.

2.2        If you consider that any Product we have supplied is faulty or mis-described, please notify us using the contact details set out in section 1.2 above.  You have a legal right to return faulty or mis-described goods within 30 days after you receive (or someone you nominate receives) the Products.  You must return such Products to us, and if the Products are faulty or mis-described we will refund the price of the Products in full, together with any applicable delivery charges, and the reasonable costs you incur in returning the Products to us.
